Edwin M. Valladares, MS, RPSGT

I have been in the field of sleep medicine for over 20 years. I began my career as sleep technologist while earning my B.S. in Biomedical Engineering from USC and M.S. in Physiological Science from UCLA. I’ve had the pleasure of working and training in sleep research with Michael C.K. Khoo, PhD, Michael R. Irwin, MD, Ronald M. Harper, PhD, and Mary Woo, DNSc. My leadership skill set has allowed me to bring all these experiences together in building sleep centers of all types. Currently, I have the pleasure of working on building the AASM accredited Keck Medical Center of USC Sleep Disorders Center, where we also have an ACGME accredited Sleep Medicine Fellowship program and the USC Center for Sleep Health Using Bioengineering (SleepHuB). It’s a pleasure to bring my experience as a sleep center administrator, supervising technologist and sleep medicine instructor to continue strengthening and serving the California Sleep Society and its members. Likewise, I encourage all of us, from all academic backgrounds, to serve in the California Sleep Society to strengthen the field of Sleep in California and world wide.
