As a Sleep Technologist, you will perform and evaluate overnight polysomnograms (PSGs) and Multiple Sleep Latency Tests (MSLTs) while ensuring patient safety. Your primary responsibilities will include calibrating equipment, attaching sensors to patients, performing bio-calibration, monitoring laboratory equipment, and observing the patients while they sleep. You will need to make vital decisions on initiating Bi/CPAP titration or other treatment should patient meet lab criteria. You will also score polysomnographic recordings. This role involves occasionally working days to perform MSLTs, infant and pediatric recordings, scoring of records, daytime studies, and other necessary functions. You will need to work weekends either at our Westwood or Santa Monica Hospitals.

Job Qualifications:

We’re looking for an exceptionally flexible individual with:

  • California Polysomnographic Technologist license.
  • Previous polysomnography experience.
  • Experience with sleep recording instrumentation and scoring techniques.
  • RPSGT and CPR certification.
  • Demonstrated ability to score 30 second epochs.
  • Basic computer skills.
  • Comfort working with clinical research populations.
  • Ability to work nights/days as patient scheduling requires.
