Anahid Hekmat, MD
Dr. Anahid Hekmat is one of the core teaching faculty at the division of Sleep Medicine at Stanford University.
She completed her Neurology and Clinical Neurophysiology training at Rush University in Chicago and later completed Sleep Medicine fellowship at Stanford University. She is triple board certified in Neurology, Clinical Neurophysiology and Sleep Medicine.
She served as the medical director of the sleep lab and sleep program at El Camino hospital prior to joining Stanford as a faculty in 2019.
Her main area of the interest in the field of Sleep Medicine is Circadian rhythm and she had successfully developed and directing the Medical Circadian clinic at Stanford.
She is highly dedicated to education and mentoring many fellows each year as the next generation of Sleep Medicine specialists.
Her goal is to remain engaged in meaningful research and expand collaboration with other specialties and institutions nationwide to further advancing the true concept of Circadian Medicine.
